CHANSI'S LATEST JOURNAL - JULY 09
What's up everybody?! My offseason has been great so far. I’ve just been training with Terrance Mathis in Duluth, GA and spending time with my family. I’ve haven’t really been anywhere for a big vacation. I was just happy to finally be home for the Fourth of July! I’ve pretty much spent all of my time in Atlanta.
I’m back to eating healthy. Most of my food is grilled and I’ve been drinking lots of water – which is important for all athletes.
My workout schedule usually consists of going hard on Monday – Thursday. We do all exercises from cone drills, routes with vests, routes without them, parachute speed training to weight specific workouts tailored for my position. I report to training camp on July 30th and am leaving for New Jersey on July 26th so I have to be prepared!
I’m looking forward to helping lead my Jets to the Super Bowl this season and will hopefully have a breakout season along the way! I feel like I have a great opportunity to do something good. Our team’s attitude is really confident right now. Our biggest challenge will be to mesh together and stick by each other through the trials and tribulations throughout the season.
I don’t think that we’ll see a drop off in media coverage because we do have a new head coach and a defense that should be good. Also, everyone wants to know who the starting QB is going to be so that’s equivalent to having Farvre here again. I think Brett still wants to play and wouldn’t be surprised if he’s not done yet.
I’ve been twittering with Mark Sanchez a little bit but we’ve both been busy and will have plenty of time to build a relationship in camp and throughout the season. I don’t know who will end up starting at QB for us – we’ll see what happens. Whoever is most ready will be the guy!
That's all for now - talk to you again soon!
